Free-diving requires extreme athletic ability. Why isn't it an Olympic sport?

    The IOC is reluctant to add new sports because the Olympics is already so bloated. In fact the IOC is cutting sports out these days. Adding a new sport would require that's sport's international federation to make a multi-year marketing campaign to the IOC in order to make sure their sport is added. So the international federation for free diving, whatever it is, needs to lead the way.
