  • Yes it is possible. There is ALWAYS a risk of pregnancy when you have sex. No matter of what your period is doing, or no matter what kind of contraceptive you use. The more recent implant contraceptive is 99.9% effective - that means that there is 0.1% chance of pregnancy. What I'm trying to demonstrate is that the chances of pregnancy are always there when you have sex. There are decidedly different risk factors to consider when you have sex and what you use as protection, but there is always some remote chance that this particular sex act will result in conception.
