Nope, I don't turn my back on my friends. Being there when people are sad is what friends are for. :-)

If you turned your back on a friend that was sad, then you are not a very good friend to them. I would see if there was anything I could do to help, otherwise I would make them get out of the house and have some fun.

Never, I would walk beside them for as long as it took to get them back to where they were once again happy.

I could/would NEVER turn my back on a friend, not even to a non close friend. I would do whatever I could to make them feel better. Sometimes it's the little things that count the most. The little things are so easy to do so why not...it is a friend afterall. Tigs, I am sorry a friend has treated you this way. No one deserves a friend like that. Smile...your a good AB friend.

Never! I adore my friends when they are happy and when they are not (no matter what!). The kind of person that is only around for the good times is sort of like a gold-digger, a user. Someone who wants something from you, and gives little or nothing. That is not friendship.

It seems that every friend I have ever had has been one of those "I am always here for you UNLESS you are having a bad day and really need me" type of friends. so no way would I ever be that way to anybody. True friends are there in bad times. I have had "so called" friends tell me "nobody wants you around if you always have problems and always need us all the time so don't come around until you are all happy again".. so I learned to hide my emotions. As far as I am concerned people like that don't deserve my friendship.

I wouldn't leave them. I would try speaking to them and if they get funny just let them know once or twice that you're there for them whenever they need a chat :)

It depends on the situation. When my friends are sad I try to comfort them & give some advice to solve their problem. But a sad person also need time to be alone. Just be with himself, so if needed I try to give him that time too. But I would not leave him alone for more than a day!
