Where is the starter located on the 2003 chevy S10 4x4? I followed the wire from the battery and it seemed to end by the front driver side wheel.

under the truck either left or right side next to the bellhousing on the transmission

it should be on the passenger side of the engine in front of the bell housing the starter gear acually inserts in to the bell housing of the transmission 2 bolts will hold it on
