  • When you think technically about it, it is. It's the 'solicitation' of prostitution that's actually illegal. Whatever goes on between 2 consensual adults in private is fine; if they want to exchange money no one can say that's actually illegal. It's the advertising of it, that's the thing.
  • hmmmmm...yes it should be katie. But the prostitutes need to be tested on an ongoing basis so that they are not a public or pubic health hazrd. :) If you think about it, prostitution is legal, they just call it something else. Like massages or escort service. It's all a matter of semantics when you step back and look at it. I guess it might solve alot of problems for u.s. senators and presidents and men of stature in the community.
  • I tell ya, these kids today....have a great night dear.
  • Yes it should be legal and those in the business should be responsible enough to be tested weekly. read these bits of information and learn more: http://www.sexwork.com/coalition/index.html http://www.sexwork.com/coalition/christian.html I wish a few legislators would read this information as well.
  • Well, it's not a route I would go or a career move I'd want for my daughters but I suppose if that's how a person wants to make a buck, why not...
  • if you can take a strung out crackwhore and a sooner or later maybe rapist and put them together in the same room ... and the worst thing to come out of it is some F'in and a money exchange where is the problem??? does anyone agree?
  • definitely prostitution should be legal. in most places where prostitution is available the protection for the prostitutes and the customers are better served and it can help to lower the sexually transmitted diseases.also the incidence of rape goes down too
  • I think if it was to be legal they shold be confined to certian areas or places because children do not need to see that. I do think people should be allowed to do what they want as long as it doesnt cause harm to other people.
  • YES WHY NOT..i DON'T SEE WHY NOT..EVERYONE LOVES PLEASURE.wELL DON'T THEY.THE GOVERNMENT IS JUST MAD BECAUSE PROSTITUTES MAKE ALOT OF MAONEY BUT ARE NOT GETTING TAXED LOL..
  • yes, the problems with prostitution are mostly from it being illegal if it was legal 1. testing for disease would be mandatory 2. it would be done in a safe environment; not in allies, cars the bushes, etc 3. regulation just like doctors, resturantes and bars 4. no pimps or wo's running bait and rob op's etc, etc, etc
  • Absolutely it should be legal. No one gets hurt. The whore makes money, the guy gets his nut off and no one needs to be the wiser.
  • Yeah, it should be. I have to quote George Carlin, of course: "Selling is legal. Fucking is legal. Why is it illegal to sell fucking?" Honestly, it just doesn't make any sense.
  • i think as long as a one night stand is legal so should prostitution, because they basically same thing except the prostitute can make money while she getting fucked
  • Yes. Prohibition didn't work for Alchohol, why should it work for Prostitution? and it can be taxed.
  • well if its leagal to sell things.... and its legal to fuck....then why in the hell cant we sell fucking?....i'll just never understand....so in summary my answer is yes

  • Fact from fiction, truth from diction, this society tries to say it keeps church matters from state. Excuse me........BAHAHAHAHA!!! This nation was formed off Judea Christian ethics and morals. Prostitution is one of the oldest trades like farming and ship building. In America one has never gotten past the fact hooking is seen as a sin, a vice. As society got further from the church fornication (sex exchanged for goods or done for free) was allowed in the house. Most one night stands, after date romps came with flowers, dinner, trips, jewelry etc. Just because it was not openly said that it was to loosen the legs for access to the honey cave it was. Those who were not adapt at that resorted to date rape drugs. So goods are already being swapped for romps in the hay. Legalized prostitution takes the drama out of it. No broken hearts, no head games no cheating just I have what you want, you have what I want, we trade and in the morning we never have to see each other again. The girls can unionize and have better protections. They can be regulated to operate in only selected areas. They can be checked out regularly to be disease free, and they can pay their share of taxes and pimps will have to be licensed and jailed of they get violent. And the Johns don't have to worry about getting ripped off. A win-win all around. But society loves to live under the assumption that if there is a relationship or they participants know each other then there is nothing being traded for the sex. The irony is about as ripe as the hypocrisy.
  • SORRY NOT-BUT I SUPPORT THAT GOVERMENT SHOULD THEM JOB OR ANY BUSINESS FIRST.5
  • Prostitution IS legal in the UK - there are associated offences arising from soliciting in a public place, or controlling the prostitution activities of another in order to gain oneself, but working alone and in private is perfectly legitimate and above board for both the service provider and the client. Thank God, or I wouldn't have a business!

  • tis a tough question... is it wrong or right? can we legislate morality? it continues to happen whether legal or not, so perhaps legalization will help control it and lessen the chances of exploitation
