Don't you think the number of points we need to level up ( for the higher levels) is way off the charts?

So..you're here for the points? Oh darn..I thought it was for the camaraderie, the joyful exchange of brilliant, pithy and informative information...the fun and games and serious stuff...so our charm, our intellect, our whimsical wit is not enough for you? Oh darn! :(

    Done. never again.

Well, at Maestro, I only need about 3000 points but it goes up ALOT each time I level up. I can only imagine what Swami is. I think it's a bit TOO low for the levels below Sage, but the 17,000 points for Genius levels is a bit extreme.

It seems like it takes forever for me to level up and I'm only at 50, but I have a limited amount of time on here. I try not to do it for the points, but it is fun to move up to the next level. I know it has to get harder the higher up we go or everyone would just breeze up the ladder, but it does seem a bit extreme.

    Way Way off Babycakes

96-97 I needed 21,699 that is much more than you need to make Sage.

We used to need more points at the beginning until they changed it all round last year.

I do because there isn't any changes in what you can do past levels that go past 50. No more points no benefits of any kind. No wonder so many lose interest and leave between level 50 and 60. I honestly believe the design is a bit off. But then I have noticed that the higher up I get the more points per day I get.

I do- a mountain is hard enough to climb without it being upside down!

That's why my goal is to just have my level=my age.
I should be able to reach level 62 by this December. ;)

im not that high but from what i see....yes i think it is! you have to get over 3000 points to move up(when you get in the 80's) thats alot of work! lol! here is +4 for the cause.

It seems a lot compared to the level up points required at lower levels, but i guess that's the bait to reel 'em in with ~ lol. Either way i'm just happy to be here and have such wonderful friends as what i have found here. They're the best points of all :))

Absolutely. its hard to reach sometimes unless you are on here 24hours a day and 7 days a weeks you can make 5000 points then.

It is outrageous! I don't expect leveling up to be easy, but, it is a ton of points. I thought I was the only one who felt that way.

Not really. I get points every now and then for questions I wrote a year ago. If the leveling up diferential didn't increase we would just eventually level up for doing nothing at all. There has to be an increase to take into account all of the Q & A we have done in the lower levels that are still active.
