Think of good things.... get active for instance. Say you are in school and you have a project due. Go into it and finish that project! Or if you are in a break-up just get a new girlfriend (not recomended) Also if its REALLY getting close to suicide and even physical and mental issues get medication and do everything you can to get better. Sometimes staying really... i mean REALLY busy helps with me. Hope this helped you bro. Live strong.

Theres always a bright side to everything. Just try to think about the bright side. I get like that sometimes as I suffer from Anxiety as well and it eats me up sometimes at night. You've gotta be strong and remember that tomorrow is another day. What I like to do is give myself something to look forward to.

I find that getting out of the house and treating myself to something I love doing. For example, I like going downtown to the bookstore, buying a new book, and finding a nice bench on a sunny day to read on. However, this is just temporary. If you are chronically depressed, I think it'd be most beneficial to see a professional who could help you acquire some tools for more long-term happiness.

I just suck it up. I'll isolate myself from the issue until I feel ready to deal with it.

What is the root of your thinking? Usually depression comes from something your thinking about all the time. I dont know your situation but, you need to talk to someone to determine that. Start with a good councelor and move on from there, they can help you determine what is the source of the depression. I think once you get help , you will see there is hope. Alot of people struggle with depression and mood disorders. It can get better but you need to reach out right now. Go on , see there is hope still yet for you.

Have you tried TMS. or even vagus nerve stimulation yet? There are alot of new treatments out. My friends son has depresssion and went for some type of thing I believe like I mentioned above . He is doing alot better now. I do believe yes some just have the chemical thing going on too, I still dont have enough seratonin yet but I do take a med for that. It helps me until all the stuff is cleared up. Good luck to you !!

I get anxiety and have had depression throughout my life . It has gotten bearable kindof . I have survived from truly knowing that my mind is playing tricks on e and not trusting my own thoguhts ( negative thoguhts about myself , my life etc) I also make sure to get enough sleep and eat right and realize when I am getting in a slump and force myself ot of it by getting out of the house or caling a frend etc. it has been a constant battle , but I am alive and wil remain alive . If not for msyelf than for my family and in order to make a diference in this f ed up world we live in .. I would talk to somebody and learn more about the brian . As much as we want to think it is somehting special it is just an organ and jsut liek any other organ it can misfunction . I hope that you are able to get through this . Keep up the good fight . And if you get a panic attack cool down ( literaly put a cold glas on your chest take off a few layers of clothes etc . easing the physical symptoms helps to ease the mental symptoms because agian it is all your body and mind playing a trick on you ) Also when you talk to someone ask abotu antidepressents to help to ge tthe right chemicals flowing.. its important . take care and if you need to talk let me know

There has to be something that correlates with your depression. Search inside yourself for the answer to what would make you happy. If there is a void where you feel there should not, fill it with the appropriate matter. Fear holds most people from realizing happiness. People fear change and if sadness and grief or thoughts of death has kept you alive until now then why change? Well, so you can be happy. Happiness is not just some fantasy there is a reality that exists between being in a fantasy world where everything is perfect and feeling like death is the only solution. Don't be afraid to lose pieces of yourself which are holding you back emerge from your cocoon and don't be afraid to fly because you fear the fall. A bird who flew one day only to break his wing the next, still got to fly higher than the bird that never left the nest.

One of the things that helped me the most visiting a good therapist. I hope you have the good luck to find one as helpful as the one I saw. There are a lot of great tips in the "How to Articles" at the bottom of this page. Click on the link, then type "depression" in the search box.

Drink alcohol...;)) I used to think that way too. I still do think about suicide when I'm feeling down, but know that things will eb all right. You should go out more and experience more new hobbies. Talking to a counelor won't get you anywhere; I've been there. Unleash your passion or whatever dream you have that is uncompleted and unfinished. If you're feeling really down, try to get some medications....

I control through food. I control through pushing my body past what it should go through. ^^ They are they unhealthy ways that I am most likley to go to^^ The positive ones are Talking to my counselor Go for a long walk Sit on the internet untill the feeling passes Blast myself with music Go to 'time out' - just a space where I can be alone Go do something with my horse

Do something you love. Admire the beauty of the world...even the blades of grass.Have you ever looked at the beautiful simplicity and details of it? Just enjoy it:) Then, see a therapist or counselor. And if you do consider suicide, please get help! Call a suicide hotline or help line. Keep your chin up...suicide is not the answer. I've attempted it too many times...but now, I see life in a different light. Its beautiful. think of all the things life offers! Go for what you want! :D If you need anyone to talk to I'm here! Keep your chin up, see someone too please!
