  • I would imagine that the meter allows one vehicle or motorcycle to occupy that spot at a time. And since the officer that felt the need to write the ticket couldn't determine which bike paid for the meter time, he issued the ticket. I'd go to court and fight it. He may not show up and it might get tossed.
  • Both motorcycles are just about equal the size of an automobile and take one parking space. Its equality and fun to share!!
  • 2nd Answer......... If you were the officer issuing the citation, which motorcyle would you chose to issue a single parking citation? tough choice. To be fair, both should receive citations, since both were in the same parking spot and both let the meter run out. Its the only choice for the officer, thats fair.
  • So the city could make more money. Be fair to the Cop. He was likely behind in his quota and had to write a bunch of tickets to keep his job. Think how mad you would have been if you had parked there and another bike came along and parked without you even knowing about it. I know of one case where a guy at school parked in a spot that didn't have a meter. The city comes along and puts a meter up and then the cops give him a ticket. All while he was in class that morning.
  • Parking spaces are meant for one vehicle, not two
