If you like action games: 360 If you like playing with friends and family: Wii But... if you like REAL games, get a kickass PC. There is nothing better than the PC for first-person shooters. The mouse is significantly more responsive than any controller. The keybaord allows for much more rapid button pressing. Also, RPGs and strategy games are REALLY bad without a mouse. That's why I game on a PC. I play Wii when I'm with my friends, though, because Wii Sports Tennis is so incredibly fun. Hope this helps.
-
Id say wii but its what your into.
-
I'll start things off. The Wii. It is cheap and fun. For serious gaming, I'm going to use a PC anyway because the mouse is more responsive than any controller.
-
well i think the wii is way better also its way cheaper than the 600$ ps3 and its smaller and more reliable so far Wii PS2 2 0
-
The PS3 is over priced, over hyped, and failed to deliver during the opening weekend...
-
Wii PS3 3 0
-
xbox 360. becuase of its massive online play, the great games such as halo and gears of war.
-
This would be more of an opinionated question, but at this time I would go with buying a Wii, for several reasons. One, as you may know, the price is much lower, meaning you will be able to buy more games sooner. Second, for the titles so far there seems to be more higher-quality games on the Wii. For example, there is Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, and Trauma Center. The only game I see worth buying for the PS3 is Resistance: Fall of Man. There is also the topic of backwards compatibility. The PS3 has had problems with sound and videos for PS2 games, while it seems that the Wii can play any Gamecube game just fine. Finally, there is the unique controller of the Wii that does indeed make games more fun and is not just a gimmick. There are more qualities for each console, but I believe I have made my point in saying that, in my opinion, it is more worth buying a Wii than a PS3.
-
ps3!!!..u might lose your furnitures if u buy a nintendo wii..
-
yes i bought them both... the Wii is a flawless great machine with you know motion cencer stuff and the ps3 screws the game up all the time... it takes a krap load of power and hurts your bill. and the comtrollers are heavy
-
I'd go with the Wii.. cheaper console, cheaper games, and so much fun! But if you have a PS2 already and want to see similar games updated with better graphics then stick to what you know.
-
I SEE MOST PPL ARE GOIN WITH THE Wii. NO IDEA WHY. A Wii WILL HAVE SO MANY MORE PROBLEMS AS ITS A NEW CONSOLE COMPLETLY, PLUS A DANGEROUS ONE, WHIL PS3, FROM ITS VERY NAME U CAN SEE ITS BEEN AROUND N THE ONLY WAY IS UP. I KNOW IL B GOIN 4 THE PS3 MYSELF. PLUS IF U PLAY OVER THE NET CAN Wii SUPPORT THIS!!!!
-
Well personally if i had the money i would buy both as anyone else would do but to pick between well both have ur pros and cons. Wii The Wii is much cheaper, its unique controller and playing style is a great bonus as its interactiveness is one of its kind and its has its reputation for some of its game classics like Zelda which from past games we all know were great. With nintendo you also know that it is possible that Wii might make games for the console using past games like a new Mario game for example. Online interactive would be like none other but compatibility may pose a problem. If id bought it, it would be for the game play style and interactiveness with the fact of a cpl of great games that can be played on it. PS3 Well yea its more expensive and its newer but if uve read the statistics on the console its power and wat it has and can do is unmatched. Apparently from the last time i read about it was 15x more powerful than the Nintendo Revolution (Wii) as it was to be called and 2x more than Xbox360. Now u cant go wrong wit that can ya? But can such power be harnessed and have they made it to powerful that they could never make a game to that level who knows. Controllers are a bit weird but its possible to use ps2 controllers instead ive heard. Also Sony playstation has won the battle of every console generation being top for PS and PS2 so its expected to do the same wit PS3. Id buy a ps3 for its potential and the games that could be made in the future for it. Id personally rather the PS3 but it comes down to the PS3 with power and potential VS Wii interactiveness and ability. Basically its which you prefer to have. Hope this helps and wateva your choice, expect to vigorously enjoy until hours end! :)
-
you know my cousin said to me a few days ago. he said "I think the Wii was made for old people." "What are you talking about?" "Well kids don't need to move that much." we were laughing so much. But seriously ps3 is better, in graphics and has more stuff than ever. I'm gonna buy it when the prices go down.
-
a wii is by far the better console, its cheaper,it has some awsome games ,its smaller, the ps3 cant play ps1 or ps2 games and it will cost more than twice as much as a wii.
-
I have a Nintendo Wii, and I love it, but the PS3 and Wii aren't really comparable. The PS3 has much better graphics and more first person shooters, while Wii is unique and has many different types of games, not so many FPS's (Red Steel kind of blows). I would get a Wii, then wait 4 or 5 months and see if PS3 is a bust or not, if so, just hang on to your PS2/Xbox/360, etc.
-
I would go with the Wii. I played one at GameStop and it was really fun. It also uses less energy which is better for the environment. I played the PS3 at Target and I didnt like it as much. The graphics were really good on the PS3 but the Wii's graphics were really good too. I couldn't really tell a difference between them even though the numbers boast PS3 all the way. The controller with the Wii was really fun to play, it was really a new experience. I can't wait to get one. I feel like Nintendo Wii is the best option right now for a unique gaming experience.
-
I would say Wii because it is just.....so fun! PS3 might be better graphics but the Wii is so fun and alot cheaper so I say Wii
-
PS2
-
Wiisixty PS2 or 3? Either eay... 3 sucks, and 2... well... that was some of the best years of gaming.
-
360. Has very nice graphics, you don't need to buy any blue ray converter like you do with the PS3 and the Wii just isn't my type. Never been too much of a Nintendo fan since the Gamecube.
-
i dont have any of the new 1,s.so i wouldnt know but i hear wii isnt so bad for the price.
-
I hope you meant ps3, in which case I am going to answer ps3. Next-gen gaming at it's best =] Definitely worth the money. The graphics are literally unbelievable. Check out Gran Turismo for ps3 (will post picture of screen shot) and I kid you not, it looks real. Especially if you have an HDTV, then the ps3 is pretty much perfection. The new features allow different users to save their games onto their own profile-account-type things rather than a memory card, so you can just log in to your account and go. The sixaxias controllers are a little difficult, but they are very fun, and the best thing is, if you don't like it, you can turn the feature off. And they are wireless, which is a bonus. I have tried wii, not really for me. It's more of a group thing to me. I would rather just play solo and choose wheter I move the control or not when I want to. XBox 360, I have barely played, so I can't really speak for it as much, but it's not bad. But my preferred console is ps3. =] (woohoo c'mon and downrate me now =O )
-
neither. wait a year or a year and half and you can save 2 or 3 hundred dollars. at that time you can buy them both
-
The local TV news station did an informal study on the two sets. They had about 10 kids play with both of them for a weekend. The majority of the kids liked the Wii and said they would buy it over the PS3.
-
Oh man! I had a go on a wii the other day! Its so much fun! Personally I would go for the wii... but here is a warning: http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com ;) ----- Ps. The website is down at the moment. I think the "funner" system is the Nintendo Wii. The Wii is new and innovative, the PS3 is for more for traditional or hard-core gamers. Please note the number of times this has been asked before: # http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/113091 # http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/102123 # http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/106503 # http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/107350
-
Really i say it depends on the type of gamer you are , my opinion is the Wii. It is a fun and new experiance to gaming and i find high tech graphics not as important.:)
-
Definitely the Wii. It is the only 7th gen console that has something truly innovative and original. Microsoft and Sony keep re-releasing the same stuff with better graphics. Nintendo focuses on plain old fun. Much better, IMO
-
Definitely a Wii, it explores a whole new type of gaming. It is absolutely mindblowing.
-
Duplicate: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/113091 My vote is for the Wii.
-
Personally, I would get the 360. For me, the Wii is something I could play for maybe 30 minutes a day before I become indifferent to the simulation aspect. From what I've seen, the 360 seems a little more innovated when it comes to actual gameplay. Although that's just me. After N64 I sort of stopped with Nintendo.
-
Xbox 360 since I'm more of a computer gamer and most of the games I like have been put out for the 360.
-
Never played one of them. But if I had to choose, Wii all the way.
-
It really depends on what you like to do. The Xbox 360 and PS3 are fairly similar in terms of what games are offered. The PS3 has the better graphics and more power, but Xbox has halo.. and halo is hard to turn down. PS3 will usually have a larger collection of RPGs than the 360 so if they are your thing than PS3 is the way. Otherwise their game selection is similar so it'll come down to if you wnat to shell out the extra money for the better graphics of the PS3. The Wii is a totally different beast. With it's new controller it's probably the most inovative of the systems, but it's also by far the weakest in terms of straight performance. The games are also of a different mindset. Nintendo has the most exclusive lineup usually and focuses much more on what i call "fun" games. It will cover pretty much every genre from RPGs (Zelda), shooters (Bond), racers (mario kart), etc. but won't have the depth in the shooters/rpgs/graphics that a 360 or PS3 will. The new controller is fun and really makes it less like a traditional game system than anything i've tried in a long time. I have the most fun with the Wii with my friends who are not video gamers. I'll play xbox live halo matches with my friends who are gamers. My plan was to pick up a Wii to play with friends, and either a 360 or a PS3 for when I feel like more traditional gaming and really making use of my HD TV. I got the 360 and the Wii so far, but the PS3 is tempting as it's graphics are stunning. Each system has it's benefits, it's really a personal preference, I don't think their is a clear winner for "best" system out of the 3 lastest offerings.
-
xbox because better graphics
-
im sorry but AON<----> is very mistaken. if your talking in general Sony has always been better than xbox. Plus sony has a playstation that is portable. xbox.. doesnot. If your talking the way your saying the playstation 1 totally looses to the xbox.
-
Wii - but playstation 3 has better graphics than the xbox360. unless youre comparing ps1 and xbox, then yes. the xbox.
-
It depends on the qualities you're looking for that you use to consider something better (portability, game variety, game quality, etc.). Playstation has always dominated the market with more games than all the other systems.
-
ps1 is nothing compared to xbox.
-
I was really looking forward to the PS3, but was so disappointed when I got it because it doesn't support online gaming as well as the 360 does. I find the graphics quality to be about the same for both consoles, but in my opinion the 360 is better.
-
I've heard Xbox 360. Mainly because the PS3 doesnt have any GREAT improvements beyond the Ps2. It has a bit of a graphics tweek and wireless controllers. The "Blu Ray" thing is going to be become obselete really soon and Ps3's are way more expensive. I'd buy an Xbox 360 for sure.
-
Hi Anonymous, and welcome... maybe we'll get to know who you are someday. But until that time, please check to make sure your question isn't a duplicate before posting. This one is, more than once I'm afraid.

PS3 by far. It has blue-ray technology built into it, its a PS and a blue-ray DVD player in one(blue-ray dvd players go for $1000 in the stores). Its has a CD player, it has wireless...something, I don't know what, wireless internet? It has memory, I got it for christmas, but I've never used it yet, we're setting it up tomorrow. The picture in the games are clearer, its just much more advanced in technology than an XBox, I can tell you that, its 15x better. Here's some information about it: Games: Experience high-definition gaming with PlayStation 3 games! Cell BroadBand Engine: The PlayStation 3 is powered by the Cell Broadband Engine, a revolutionary microprocessor that leapfrogs the performance of existing processors, giving the PlayStation 3 system supercomputer-like power and performance that, until now, game developers have only dreamt about. Blu-ray Disc: The built-in Blu-ray Disc player means you can enjoy next-generation high-definition entertainment, including games and movies. Multimedia: Photos, Music, Videos, Internet: PlayStation 3 provides an endless array of multimedia activities, all without even inserting a game. Always On*: PlayStation 3 delivers "always-on" online connectivity; offering a world of online possibilities including multiplayer gaming, text and video messaging, voice chatting, downloading content and browsing the internet. Sixaxis Wireless Controller: The new Sixaxis wireless controller enables you to harness the powerful potential of the PlayStation 3 system. Backwards Compatibility: Play thousands of PS one and PlayStation 2 games as well as your CDs and DVDs on the PlayStation 3. System Interoperability: PlayStation 3 and PSP (PlayStation Portable) play nice together. Easily exchange media like photos, videos and music from your PlayStation 3 system to your PSP system. And get ready to witness an explosion in creativity as developers take on the challenge of integrating the PSP system into PlayStation 3 games. High-Definition Capabilities**: Enjoy high-definition entertainment, HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) means you can use your PlayStation 3 with High-Definition displays as well as conventional or standard TVs. Hard Disc Drive (HDD): The PlayStation 3 comes with either a 20GB or 60GB removable hard disk drive (HDD). *Always On: Continuous broadband internet service required. See the product documentation for details. **HD: Video output in HD requires cables and an HD-compatible display, both sold separately.
-
yes i also have had ps1 and ps2 but i rather the x box 360 then the ps3 cause ive heard that alot of the ps3's have had bugs in them and you cant take them back as easy if they stuff up!
-
i just got xbox 360 and its amazing!
-
X box 360 rules all !!!!!
-
Well actually it is your choice. The XBOX 360 is much cheaper than the ps3 and the xbox is prefered to adults and teenagers. Ps3 is kinda cool when you can download games into it but my opinion is that it costs too much! so if you got plenty of money feel free to feel good with a ps3 i guess. But if you would want a ps3 i suggest you wait becauze there aren't many good games out on the ps3 yet
-
dude i've got to go with xbox 360 cause its got gears of war and halo 3 coming out, saints row and most of my friends have 360
-
Sorry, but for the nth time... Duplicate http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/103378 et al.
-
u may wanna reword ur question comparing the xbox 360 to the ps3, bcuz in the case of the original xbox being compared to the ps3 then the ps3 anally rapes it
-
Anything but a Playstation 3... And...do you not like nevets?
-

In terms of what? You placed them correctly in alphabetical order.
-
For me Xbox 360 closely followed by Nintendo Wii. I have many original Xbox games that can be played on the 360. Halo 3 will be huge when it is released. Gear of War rocks. The Wii is fun to play. I think people younger than me will get more enjoyment out of it. The PS3 is too expensive. Blueray technology hasn't been embraced by everyone. The positives are it's backward compatible, Blueray CD players cost about $1,000 now.
-
Definitely Xbox 360. Video games are meant to make you lazy and lay on the couch, not to get you running around moving a controller in the air like the Nintendo Wii.
-
Neither. I prefer PS3 and PS2.
-
I like the 360, Not a big catalog but you have Gears of War and Halo 3 will be out this year. I think the Wii is great and younger people should really like it. Eventually it might have much better games.
-
this choice involve asking yourself some questions 1.do you want to feel like your in the game? 2.do you want to become the character? 3.do u just want to play games that are avaible in stores now or are you willing to wait 1+months for incredible games to come out? 4.do you want to have a single boomerang controller or do u want the option of having a classic or a 2 piece controller? if you answered yes to 1 and 2; ill wait to 3; and the oprtion of the 2 different controllers then go with the wii if you answered no to 1 and 2; i want to play whats out now to 3; and boomerang controller for 4 go with the 360 -the xbox 360 is a great system in tearms of graphics but it is still a system early in the making, i would wait a while before getting one. i would get the wii because it is made by a company that has a reputation for making high quality systems with great potential.
-
That's a subjective question. If you are looking at hardware specs, the PS3 annihilates the Wii. Which is better in terms of entertainment? That's up to you. It depends on what kinds of games you enjoy.
-
Playstation 3 because i Don't Support Microsoft cause they are a Monopolistic Company. Xbox Sucks Anyhow...
-
If money weren't an issue, I'd pick the 360. -3? okay.. playstation 3 has no good games worth investing 600+ dollars into, and all their exclusive games are rumored to go multi-platform because of the failure ps3 has become. Blu-ray is overrated, and pretty much unwanted technology. nintendo wii, although a very innovative system, has some complications that cannot go unwarranted. some games have a steep learning curve just because of the controller design, and ingame graphics are hardly next-gen. xbox 360 has the biggest online community, has a vast number of games that are worth every penny, and has a good price.
-
I never played any of them but I want to get the nintendo wii because you get some exercise while using it rather than staring at a screen (I do that enough on the computer, but my man likes playstation 3
-
Too hard of a choice. Probably Ps3 or Xbox 360. One for the blueray and one cause i'm truly a halo fanboy... maybe not even the 360 then maybe a normal one...lol
-
I prefer Xbox 360. Gutar Hero 2 is out now, Gears Of War is great. Halo 3 will be a huge hit. The Wii is a lot of fun, better for younger people than me.
-
i have different choices for different resons. if you have a group of friends around and you want some fun, i'd go for the wii. if i wanted to play on my own and i wanted amazing graphics it would have to be the PS3.
-
no question. get the wii. At one point I had the ps3 and the wii. I ended up returning the ps3 cause the wii is just so much better . Just go to the local Best buys or wal mart and pick one up there. The only problem is its still really hard to find the wii. Best buy and wall mart are always sold out. Try going to this site and type in your Zip Code. http://snipurl.com/locatethewii It will tell you when shipments of the Wii are in your area and how many. its really helpful. it worked for me
-
That really depends on the person. I prefer xbox 360 myself. But others may choose the Wii.
-
I got to go with 360 the wii is cool but it has mostly games for kids i mean how can you go up agianst elder scrolls and gears of war with pikmen?
-
There is no absolute best console. It's really just a matter of personal taste. My favorite games so far have been on the Xbox 360. I also love the interface of the dashboard and pretty much everything about Xbox Live and the Marketplace. I love the concept of the Wii. Nintendo always seems to be the innovative ones. However, except for a few (namely Zelda: Twilight Princess), the games have been rather lackluster. Most of the games are ridiculously easy to beat, and many of them just throw in the Wii-Mote as a gimmick. I was a bit disappointed with the Wii, but I'm hoping that, once a bunch of games I've been looking forward to, such as SSBB and Super Mario Galaxy, the console improves. As for the PS3...never tried it. It's pretty expensive and it looks a bit disappointing. Hope that helped!
-
I bought a Wii because I am all about the multi-player games. The console is still new and there really isn't much in the way of single player games. Also the Tiger Woods wasn't as fun as the PS2 version. One game that is really fun is Excite truck. Super Paper Mario is really trippy and almost hard to play sober. Zelda is also a good game, but for some reason have been having a hard time getting into the game. PS3 - I really liked The first God of War but I can't justify the purchase yet just for that games second. 360 - Halo is fun and all, same deal as the PS3 with no other really stand out games.
-
The Wii is tight. You can do anything. You got internet, hot games coming out, and brand new features never seen on a Nintendo console like the Miis. The 360 is great too. It competes with the cool Wii. The PS3 is whack as hell so i'm like "skip that bullcrap."
-
ps3 costs too much. wii is too awkward, and different than traditonal controllers. I have to go with xbox 360. It seems to be the best system right now.
-
PS3! i have made my point
-
PS3! AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! AWSOME!!!!! i have made my point
-
Me myself own a PS3 and my nephew owns the XBOX 360 premium(20gb HD). Based on the fact that the PS3(60gb) comes fully loaded with- 1080p HD(depending on games and Blu-ray discs) and wether or not you have a full 1080p LCD tv. It also gives you a large option when it comes to media transfers- SD slot, Memory stick and CF cards( no XD slot). Concidering the standard PS3 comes off the shelf capable of playing Blu-ray and the XBOX 360 does not ($200 for attachable HD-DVD player) the price is very similar and may actaually cost you more to upgrade the 360 than to buy the new 40gb PS3 system. To be honest the only electronic brand I buy(home entertainment only) is SONY so I guess in a way I am one sided. Obviously there are alot more games for the 360 since its been on the market longer and has gotten major backing from game developers. PS3 will eventually catch up but instead of flooding the market with games that nobody wants to play I think there taking there time and releasing games that are more satisfying to the consumer and and not your typical play it for a day and sit on the shelf for the rest of its life. Now the Wii is a great interactive system with the motion sensor setup it has. I have only played the Wii a few times( wii sports and Madden 07) and based on those games it is definately kid friendly. Nintend has always made games that were user friendly for kids and adults and I think they hit the nail on the head with there compact design, dual handed controls( nunchucks and pad) and what I would consider a decent library og game that incorporate the motion sensor nunchucks. Its fun to play even if the graphics dont quite compare to the PS3 and the XBOX 360. Now all that said I still think the PS3 has more bang for the buck. Hope I helped.
-
Xbox 360. Not too expensive, good games, good quality. Xbox live is awesome too.
-
xbox360!
-
The Wii. It can be alot of fun to fire up bowling or boxing and watch drunk friends almost knock themselves out!
-
played all three Ps3 is my favorite
-
Not the Wii. Either of the others, but not the Wii. Its awful.
-
Wii.........i answered this earlier
-
The 360 is the best, it has more original games then the ps3 and its cheaper, the wii is more kiddy games then anything, so the 360 is in my mind the best nex-gen console
-
i too think 360 is the best, with the best range of games and sometimes the best graphics.but i will admit, the 360 was only made for the halo trilogy

360 for graphics but ps3 for game types!
-
Wii can run programs, like opera web browser.
-
Nintendo Wii
-
I love the Wii myself, its just fun that you are able to interact in the game.
-
I personally like my XBOX 360 the Wii's pretty good too
-
I like my 360
-
WII
-
Wii is great. Even my adult friends love to play. It can be a pretty good work out if you play the right games.
-
I like the Ps3, because it has awsome graphics. However, nothing can beat the Xbox 360 contollers, they are great to hold. The Wii does not appeal to me though.
-
It's not a matter of which is better it matters which has the games you like to play... usually ps3 has better rpg/driving games... xbox has better shooting/action games... and wii has better movement related games... The one thing i'm looking forward to is star wars: force unleashed... I am moving my right hand moving my light saber around... and my left hand is controlling my force powers... how cool is that..
-
Nintendo Wii definitely. :-) It's the most different and original. A very good change from button bashing!
-
Nintendo Wii its brill! I love it!
-
Wii
-
Wii, easily, in a year it sold more than xbox 360 and ps3, best controls, especialy because you dont always have to use motion sensitive ones, you can use the gamecube or classic or wii remote turned on it side. i admit the graphics are not as good as 360 or ps3 but it still has imense graphics. The gameplay has been voted best since nintendo 64, plus (i dont know what games you can do this with) you can connect your DS to your wii and play simutaniously. Plus nintendo keep bringing out new channels for you to download, for free. The internet is free to browse on the wii, except you have to spend 500 wii points to download it unless you got the trial version, unlike xbox where you have to pay monthly to use the internet, and i think you cant browse it either on xbox 360 but i dont know that for sure. Nintendo's online play is getting better all the time and may not be as good as online play for 360 but with the release on Super smash bros brawl in america, that has proved it to be one of the best online games and best overall games out for nintendo, (so far. The PS3 is good but is way too overpriced, if i had the money i would buy all 3 but i dont so i got the wii and have enjoyed for ages since i got it (December 2006) and have never stopped liking it so much. If someone asked me which one i would have if i could only have one, i'd choose the Nintendo Wii. I also reccommend you buy one if your planning on buying a next generation console.
-
The 'Best' depends completely on what you like to do. If you like strategy, you'd gravitate towards intellectual games like chess. If you like mazes, Mario bro has a huge selection. Arcade? Then choose arcades. Your question is open-ended, therefore, an open-ended answer is all you can get. I personally like Brain-age stuff.
