  • That's odd, depending on the age of the TV maybe it's the picture tube. If it is fairly new, have it checked. It is obviously not Cable so you can rule that out.
  • I would check and make sure that it's not due to an SAP (second audio program) setting in your television's preferences. This could cause no sound if the broadcaster wasn't transmitting an SAP signal on that channel. They are usually used for other languages such as Spanish. Or a wrong Dolby audio setting on your television. If that's not set properly, it could cause only part of a surround sound signal to be heard. Such as only crowd noise at a football game.
  • My RCA tv has the same problem. I have just started searching for an answer. It started when I tried to route the antenna through an older Panasonic VCR. I will post an answer if I figure it out.
  • You may have discovered this by now, but I just found out that unplugging the RCA tv for a few seconds seemed to clear up the problem. Perhaps some channels got stuck on SAP audio channels for some reason.
  • I have the same issue..I have a panasonic plasma tv with hdtv....FOX channel 3 has no sound...I then got nflnetwork and the same thing....do all of you have a VCR attached to your TV? Im wondering if thats it... its not cable since channel 3 plays fine on the other TV we have
