Any ideas to get rid of these pesky gnats in my home? I've read somewhere they come up from my septic tank through the drains. I've been putting bleach down the drains but what else?

Make sure that it isin't coming into your home via your fruit. If you look at the produce dept at your supermarket, if there are gnats on the produce, dont bring it home because they borrow into the flesh and come out later on in YOUR house! They can also come up through the drains and bleach doesn't help permenently... They sell solid floppy plastic drain covers in the better home goods stores for about $3.00 ea. Try them! Good luck! *Im dealing with something called "Spring tails" here myself. If you know what they are and how to keep them under control let me know. GROSS!

Put apple cider vinegar in a cup or vase(about an inch)Roll a piece of paper into a cone and insert into cup-not touching the vinegar.They will fly in, be unable to escape and drown.This was told to me by a woman that bought some of my pottery.Good luck.I hope it works for you:)
