I had a child ask me this once; "Is Mother Nature God's wife?" What do you think about this question?

I think that's lovely. ☺ I would have to tell the child that Mother Nature is Mother to all living creatures and that God was one of Her creations, who in turn helped Her to create everything else! I would then have to point out that it's our duty to care for and respect all living things and not cause harm to anything, if we can help it. Even helping a spider out of the bath is helping Mother Nature and God. Sounds like that child has a wonderful inquiring mind. I hope s/he take that mind into adulthood. x

I think its an excellent question since, in my opinion, both Mother Nature and god are personifications of the natural world.
