I m orignal from pakistan but live in italy last 11 years in regular position if i want to immigrant in canada so what i can do

    Go to the CIC's website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp and take a look at the assessment and see what your chances may be. You need to apply via the embassy. It's too difficult to assess your possibilities without knowing so many more factors like your health, wealth and education.

    Remember that there are a number of factors that help you and a few that will prevent you from immigrating. For example, university education, field of work and languages can help. You need to be healthy and you need to be able to sustain yourself financially to be considered.

    To immigrate to Canada you first have to qualify under one of the available immigration programs; Skilled Workers class, Business Class, Self Employed or Family Class (If you have a spouse in Canada to sponsor you).

    Residing in Italy legally could help you in the sense that your application can be processed in Italy and the processing there could be faster than that of the Islamabad Office that is considered to have a huge backlog.
