  • My wife planned that our 2nd would be a c-section, because our first was a tough labor and eventually had to be a c-section anyway.
  • Vaginal. Natural and feel how giving a birth like my mom did, know what she felt..
  • Definitely vaginal. My first 3 children were all vaginal and I am due in a week with #4 and want a natural vaginal birth. Why? 5 close friends of mine had C-sections (2 of them by choice) and it took longer for them to recover and they were in alot of pain. Also, two of them...their stitches got infected. Remember that c-section is MAJOR abdominal surgery....hard to tone any muscles after those.
  • I have done it both ways and I would pick vaginal any day! The recovery of a c-section is long and excruciating.
  • Vaginal, any day. First of all, its better for the baby. Vaginal birth forces the fluid out of the lungs so the child is less likely to have respiratory problems. Secondly, who wants to care for a newborn while recovering from major abdominal surgery?
  • i had my daughter vaginally. They were talking c-section and gave me 30 mins to push or else they would do one. What motivation! I pushed her out in less than 20. I think c-section's are stupid unless they are ABSOLUTELY necessary. My mom gave birth vaginally to my brother and he was breech. My great grandmother gave birth to several children, all of which ranged from 11-14 lbs. IT CAN BE DONE! Women's bodys were made to give birth and to deal with the changes~!~It's tough work, but thats why its called labor~!~
  • Vaginal. If the pain gets too bad, there's always the epidural but I can't conceive trying to look after a baby while I'm laid up from major abdominal surgery. I think there's a tendency for people (read: male partners who have never seen a woman go through a c-section) to think c-sections are the easier option -- it's over and done with, nice and simple. Ideally (but I accept the chances of this happening are almost non-existent) I would prefer a water birth at home, with nobody except my partner there.
  • to be honest, during the labour i was really wanting a c section, but now that i had both my kids vaginally and yes it hurts and more work, but down the road its better, no sugery on your abdomen, no scars.
  • I've had both and natural is the way to go!!!!!!!! C section may not hurt while they are doing it, but it will take almost a year to recover. Natural will hurt for a few hours but when it is over, it is over!
