I'm not familiar with that brand either...and if your band director's never heard of it, I'm afraid it's an off-brand and the quality wouldn't be good. I'm a trumpet player myself, and believe me, when it comes to musical instruments, you get what you pay for. You will definitely see more improvement in your skills and have more fun playing if you go with quality. If money is an issue, try to find a used name-brand instument like Bach, Yamaha, Bundy, or King. Your director can probably help with this and you should definitely get him/her to check out the instrument before you buy it. Also, you can buy a new instrument from a music shop on payments. If I wanted to teach myself to play a brass instrument in hopes of playing ska11 months from now, what should I pick? Sound v. ease of play.

You're reading I am looking at a Titan Brand Tenor Trombone on E-Bay. Our music teacher has never heard of this brand before. What is the quality and what would a new one be worth?
