No, I had to give up intoxication altogether. It was just too much like Answerbag.
-
i ask "where is the bathroom"? the answer is "please don't water the roses"
-
I try to but the keyboard keeps moving around thank god someone ranked this positive, I was beginning to think everyone on this website had lost their sense of humor wish I could rate up a comment, thanks for the info stableboy

My question was "Do you ask & answer while intoxicated?" I'm going to stop asking questions if I'm going to be edited for no reason. What was wrong with the way I asked it? Maybe I don't want to sound like a boring robot.
-
No. Only when high and severly depressed.
-
No, I gave up drinking Nov 3. For good!!!
-
Nah. I don't even drink. I used to, but it's been a couple of years, Pre-Answerbag. I wouldn't drink or use ABag while I was intoxicated, though. It's already tough enough to make yourself understood clearly when you're sober. Even then, misunderstandings occur all too often. You don't need me to tell you what alcohol does to perception and judgment, right? Not to mention temperament. As far as editing Q's - you guys have it easy. Why, back in my day, in 2005, (yea, I know that makes me an old timer) I answered half my questions just to explain what I really wanted to know. Once I asked, "When editing questions, does the staff ever consider how demeaning it is for a user to be forever associated with a question that was power-edited into something only a complete idiot would ask?" You can guess the outcome of that submission. It happens to everyone and believe me, I know how it feels. BUT, in defense of the moderators and ABag HQ, think about the amount-o-crap they wade through every day. Take a look at the raw submissions. In this case, they simply broadened the Q's appeal, which is, after all, part of the job. Your unedited Q asked about asking and answering, period. They expanded it to include browsing, commenting, rating, reading, researching, Answerblogging, and whatever else people do on the Bag. I found the best way to get my Q's approved is to give the Q some thought before submission. Can you expand the scope so no one else has to? Use proper spelling and good grammar. (General guidelines) On a side note - surely you don't believe the mods enjoy editing so much that they edit just to edit, do you? I used to, but I was wrong. Remind me to find my submission called "The Answerbag Barbershop" and show it to you. (I was on a roll.) I hope this helps. ~~~~~~~~ Carmella, although I don't remember the question I asked, here was my answer - This is not an attempt to answer. It’s a clarification and rewording of my original question. The staff 86’d the entire second half, meaning now, it’s no longer what I asked. At the risk of ruffling the staff’s fine feathers, I’m going to humbly and respectfully point out that brevity is already enforced in the 255 character (including spaces) limit. You guys do a wonderful job, and I mean that sincerely. I am the last person to criticize your efforts. But it’s frustrating to questioners when concision replaces quality as the main point of editing. In this case, my query was well within the space limit. The part you guys cut was an integral part of the concept, and provided a direction for finding an answer. Everyone understands that most questions need a touch-up upon submission – grammar, punctuation, misspelling, wrong category, whatever. God knows I appreciate the times you’ve fixed my mistakes before the whole A’ Bag community discovered I’m an idiot. But there are undeniably occasions when you guys edit just to edit, for no good reason. Have you become accustomed to pruning so many dead branches from so many trees that you now prune everything out of habit? You don’t want to become jaded and disillusioned with the whole process, do you? Imagine the scene: A question strolls confidently into the Answerbag barbershop for a final spiff-up before his big debut. Maybe a spot here, a snip there, but the real work’s finished. The demon barber gives him the obligatory once over, then whips out the chainsaw and trims his head and heart into an uncluttered abyss. Later, the questioner drives by, looking for his offspring He finally spots him, but only because his question had a mark. Good thing that was attached to the tailbone.
-
I haven't yet but that doesn't mean that I never will.
-
I have.
-
I'd prefer to say that Answer Bag uses me, since I seem to be addicted to it now. But no, since I don't drink alcohol I can never blame any of my posts that are rated down or that are not up to my standards on that.
-
I have, but it lowers my immunity to ignorance and trolls, so I've stopped and am much happier for it.
-
I don't drink, but if I did sure, I would mix drinking and typing.
-
Not whilst I'm intoxicated on alcohol or drugs. I don't do drugs and when I'm occasionally drunk I wouldn't have the coordination to get on AB.
-
in reply to the question you asked before it was edited.... I probably do but wouldn,t remember.
-
Never, I dont think I could type that well if I was sloshed.
-
im drinking baileys and some kilians red right now so i guess that would be a yes..lol
-
I don't drink either. If you have friends who drink, just remember "Friends dont let friends drink and post"
-
Do I look like the kind of cat who just lets beer go beyond it's born on date? I think not! Cheers!
-
BUUUUURRRRRRRRRPP.....Yup, been there and done that. A FEW TIMES.
-
I have once or twice, but I try not to drink or get off my head anymore, don't want to go backwards, just forwards
-
First, I don't get drunk these days. Secondly, why would I want to take the chance of sounding more foolish than some people think I am anyhow?
-
nrevr. achlhlol nd bgagngg duond mwiks. yo cloud widn p confowndig yoorrslef nad cnofusign poelpe. I drink to relax at home, and use the bag at the same time. Intoxicated? No. Inebriated? Somtimes, a little. But if I think I'm getting less than level headed, I get off the bag. I never know if my light heartedness may lead to unintentionally offending someone, when I only mean to have a little fun. I have enough trouble stone sober. Why make it worse?
-
No. I believe answerbag is for those who can't handle drugs.
-
no. intoxification is a manifstation of gluttony. alcohol is a tool of teh devil to deny you of you're eternal happiness in rthe glory of God.
-
no.I've gotta be high!!
-
Im half way through a bottle of Red Square Vodka now! Vodka + Q and A = Most of governments decisions.
-
I'm not drinking alcohol at the moment, I'm chewing Betel Nut so I am intoxicated in a Betel Nut sort of way, I really should give this stuff up. I have a lot of friends in Papua New Guinea and they introduced me to it in back in 1977. Since then I've chewed the darn stuff in India and Bangladesh, its a very popular way to get intoxicated. Think I better go and have a Toke...smiles.
-
I have. When I realize I have been AB the night before I always go back and see what I did. Some of the questions I have answered while intoxicated should have been left alone. The shame. Its not just AB though...I get on the phone a lot and have to end up doing a lot of apologizing the next day.
-
I am unable to turn on a computer while intoxicated which is a good thing, I can't walk through doorways properly either. xo*
-
Ayah, whad? Whaddya..! Donna tell mah wadda do, biich! Iyah noyah freeee---ind.........!? Show uss yah tih's, luv! Ahayahayah....!
-
Is there any other way to AB?
-
I don't drink at all
-
Sober. People can get obnoxious when they go overboard and get themselves a BUI.
-
I don't drink anymore, doctor's orders.
-
Sober. I learned my lesson about being in the bag while bagging months ago. My advice to anyone, who imbibes while ABing, is to stay sober in here. It's a surefire way of losing friends and serving a term in the penalty box if the sauce dims our judgment and we make fools out of ourselves in here.
-
Always sober Judge; will that get me a lighter sentence on the ripping off a mattress tag charge? ;-)~ Can't drink anyhow due to a medical condition.
-
Sober yo...
-
sober.. i have in the past had a few beers while ive been on, but nothing major.
-
sober.
-
Most of the time I am sober. I have come home a couple times and bagged under the influence. I never got caught though. It won't happen to me. (Although I did admit it to another bagger)
-
Completely sober.
-
99% of the time sober...a few times I've been a little "bagged."
-
I don't really drink so I don't bag under the influence at all. I have to say if I did bag under the influence I wouldn't admit it here. I have seen too many people who have admitted to being on pain meds or enjoying a drink or two get crucified with that information the next time a fight breaks out with another user who is inclined to take the cheap shots.
-
Usually sober but once in a while I am under the influence of beer ;)
-
Sober as a judge who doesn't drink.
-
Okay. I'll be the lone alcoholic. Over a .18 bac %40 of the week. That is roughly 62hrs.
-
I dont drink. I'm always sober. Always in control. Thats the way I like it. :)
-
75% Intoxicated. 25% sober :)
-
100% sober
-
SOBER
-
Sometimes with "the edge off" and most of the time stone sober. And I would bet good cash money that most would hardly ever see any difference whatsoever.
-
I'm sober ALL the time, so yes I'm sober all the time I use AB too.
-
I've never been under the influence while here on AB. No Bagging Under the Influence (thanks for the reminder, Sheryl).
-
I BUI sometimes but the I isn't from anything drinkable. ;)
-
I'm under the influence right now. Under the influence of being sexy.
-
I do drink and AB sometimes, but not often. I can hardly type when I'm sober. The tipsy me takes forever to answer a question.
-
I don't drink much. I have never been drunk, hence I have never been on AB while drunk. lol
-
I don't drink, I think everyone should use wisdom when giving out so much information about themselves. What you say could be used against you, we sometimes forget our own faults when pointing out the faults of others.
-
I do use the bag while under the influence and sometimes it bites me on the ass and makes me feel really stupid when I go back and read what I have said.
-
I just love this question even though it has been asked before. I tend to get too cocky if I've had a few so I try not to get on here.
-
Considering I hop on the 'Bag while I'm at work, no. :D Although it would be interesting... However, I doubt my fellow teachers would appreciate it. XD
-
I am allergic to alcohol and other drugs.
-
No.
