  • i would say yes and no. mostly it's in the definitions. your diet (noun) is what you eat on an average day, every day for a long time. when you diet (verb), you alter your food intake, generally for a short amount of time. i would say if you go on a diet long enough, that dieting becomes your new diet. make sense? anyways, switching to healthier foods is a great option, especially if you mean to continue it long term. i think most programs that say no dieting just mean they want you to get a healthy intake of calories per day and balanced nutrition, instead of going on some strange fad diet.
