  • Yes, fundementalists. I am not a Christian but I can tell the difference between a fundi and a normal tolerant Christians. Fundis will get in your face and push Christianity on to you...very annoying.
  • Well, if Christians aren't doing too much fanatical now, they certainly have in the past. Think of the Crusades, which was a holy war. What about the Inquisition and how about the Catholic Bishop that burned all Mayan Codexes?
  • Yes, and so does Atheism, and Judaism, and Existentialism, and Rationalism, and just about any other belief system you can name. Nobody owns exclusive rights to self-righteousness, bigotry, and extremism.
  • Then there are those who blow up abortion clinics in the name of Christianity. And then there is that wacked-out Westboro "Baptist" Church up in Kansas, with their picketing and all. Even back to the routine, thankfully non-violent breed -- many evangelicals are just plain annoying. Do they really think that all the fire-and-brimstone will get the average person to understand that "God is love"?
  • oh god, of course it does. christianity surpasses islam tenfold. it's by far the most "taken too extreme" religion ever. The Religious wars, Inquisition, Slavery of blacks (and other groups of people...think the whit man's burden), pursuit against gays (modern times), and so many other things are all contributed if not directly resulted from christianity and the pursuit of crazed zealots spreading the Christian spirit to "save people" Remember, apparently to get in to heaven according to the Bible, you have to "save " someone, whether they want you to, or have their own beliefs all ready (think colonization in Africa. Not a single christian pre-europeans, and afterwards, good luck finding an indigenious belief system still existant. well done saviors, well done!) oh, and i'm ready to have my comment bashed and my points lowered significantly because without thinking of what i'm saying many said zealots will see "christianity...source of despair and death...." and will automatically hate me.
  • All religions have their zealots, just as every person has their faults.
  • Yes, but it was dealt with further back. Islam has yet to have its Reformation.
