  • Thin toilet paper just dissolves as soon as moisture touches it so you have to use more of it than you would use even doubled up. I have never saved money using thin 1-ply toilet paper.
  • The better quality works out cheaper in the long run. The thinner stuff you just have to use a lot more to absorb any liquid.
  • Well you know... With the prices of things the way they are, I recently tried the cheap stuff as opposed to my usual Scott 2 ply wonder paper... I assumed that cheaper would suffice. It doesn't. Their is far less paper on the cheap rolls and you end up spending less money as indivisual packs but you have to buy it twice as frequently as the scott. Scott is best! Even if it is too damn expensive!
  • Hah! I have just been thinking about this as I was writing out a grocery list..I bet only women ponder this sort of stuff..I use the more expensive, thicker brands but buy less of it, and also buy paper rolls (which have a greater variety of uses) as a back-up. I have no idea why, but this works. When I was little, my mother used to use newspaper if we ran out of toilet paper. The memory is enough to make sure we never run out of it...
  • I'm with everyone else on this one; I use the more expensive because it’s cheaper in the long run because you use less.
