  • Yes Erika I did. Another racist? Shame on him..
  • Yep, It is really a shame. According to news sites he was being heckled by two black men who said "you aren't funny". Friends say he is an actor, not a standup comedian; he didn't know how to react when then audience started disrupting him.
  • I say the tape and was surprised. He went off so irrationally - maybe drugs or alcohol were involved in his behavior.
  • I saw the video of the whole thing. I can understand why people would want to think he was being racist. That was not the impression that I got. I got the feeling that he has started a bit that had some mild racial overtones, someone in the audience heckled him, Richards responded hyperbolicly by intensifying the routine, and then he went too far with it. I think performers do that sometimes, because you can't be too analytical up there, and sometimes dramatic people throw themselves into new directions, intentionally not thinking ahead. It seemed like a routine that went horribly wrong, but Richards didn't seems like a racist to me. A racist would have acted differantly. Aggressive body language, personal insults. He would have said "I" would string up up for that, instead of "They" would string up up, like he did.
  • First of all I think the heckler, if he didnt like the performance should have quitely left the club. Now, for Richards. He was wrong to carry it on and on and on. He shouldnt have said anything, but I imagine it is hard not to say something to a heckler. But in my opinion, if you are going to jeer and make fun of someone on stage, you get what you deserve in response.
  • Gosh, even Leno get Hecklers,Richards is not above that. And to the person that said the two black guys were making noise, actually, they came in after the show had started and was ordering drinks. True, that could be a distraction, but it didnt deserve being called the N word. The black guy told him he wasnt funny After he started the racial so call joke.

  • GOSH U HAVE IT ALL WRONG. WHY SHOULD THEY LEAVE THE CLUB, THEY HAD NO PROBLEM WITH RICHARDS, HE STARTED THE WHOLE THING. HOW TYPICAL FOR U TO PUT IT ON THE BLACK MAN.
  • I JUST NOW saw video of the rant. I can't believe he did that. I'm so amazed. I'm apalled. I'm disgusted. Those poor guys, to get picked on like that. I never liked Seinfeld to begin with, but I certainly don't like anything to do with Michael now. :( I may have only saw a partial part of the incident, but I would say it was racist. You just don't call someone "The 'n' word" if you aren't being racist. That's just the end of that. Telling him he would have had him upside down with a fork in his ass. Not sure what in the hell that's supposed to mean... Heckler or not, no one deserves to be called names like that. Not ever.
