No, I don't think you could *seriously* one-up anybody. "The race is long, and in the end, it is only with yourself." I think competition outside of good-natured sporting events, etc, is just the human ego's way of affirming itself. Best to let go of ego, do the best you can, and help others.

no, according to the rules, if they don't know about the competition then not only do you not get additional points -- you are required to subtract 10 points. It isn't nice to "one-up" somebody who doesn't know the game is on.

Yep some times I walk buy a group of people say my smart a** remark and keep walking, Leaving them behind laughing.

no all it will do is make them dislike/disrespect you more, than they may do (if they do), best to just be yourself and just be happy :D
