Well, considering I care about how other people see their worlds and am interested in how their "little worlds" overlap and influence mine, it isn't impossible that they might care too. I know most people are ignorant and self-absorbed, but not everyone is. And I cherish the people who are not.

Probably a very long series of step by step by step by step life experiences .. and nicely enough, many an interaction with others. Don't think it's a question of just sitting around assuming or expecting or hoping that other are going to "care". Don't think it's a question of assuming no one "does" care. Think it's more a matter of give and take - yin and yang - an attitude of openess, caring, respect, interest .. Til lo and behold .. there is mutual caring .. and little worlds become a bit larger .. and larger .. and larger. :)

I am certain nobody besides my close family and friends give a tuppence. The day I realized this I became a better person. the world is not waiting for me to fail so that it can laugh at me nor is the world really interested in my opinions and explanations.

I learned a long time ago not to expect anyone to really care about me or what's happening in my life because truth be known, the only time they think about me is when I am with them and talking to them. when I leave, they don't think about me again. I am not the center of their world..so now matter how much I care about and think about them, they don't do the same for me.. most of the time.
