In the state of tn what does the law say about spanking, as far as who's allowed to spank, what is acceptable and what is not?

In TN you and anyone you say can spank your child.
If you leave bruises then department of childrens services views that as the abuse it is. Most children can be disciplined without spanking, but a few need a good old fashioned spanking.

I don't know about the law, but why would you consider spanking your child? There is always another form of discipline. In my opinion, law or not spanking is never ok.

well I agree that other forms of discipline may work with most kids but some kids do not respond to those forms. I have a niece that when she was younger the ONLY way to get her to mind was a spanking.
