I'll start here and move onto all those wonderful answers later: First, to the host of this shindig: Cap'n Jack! Many thanks for the effort you've gone to in this. It's VERY thoughtful and much appreciated. Your infamy and notoriety on the high seas of AB are bound to rub off a little on me as a result. I consider this a great honor indeed. I'd like to especially thank the following people as well: BigDaddyBS- Who first got me interested in AB and was my 'welcome aboard' host & first on my friends list. A realtime friend as well for going on 30 years. Sugar-licious- second friend added to my list, and the only person who made me hesitate to click "Approve" solely due to her screen name. Girl, a screen name like that could get a married man in trouble! Esperanza (Hope)- Who showed me that us baggers really DO make a difference. borosalama- a veritable fountain of religious information, not only Islam (his), but mine (Christianity) and others as well. His tolerance of my ignorance is truely phenominal. Highlander- a fellow brother-in-arms, a man of honor. An ex-marine who caught me flatfooted and made me laugh! He knows what I mean. This old sailor salutes you, my friend. jerv- a sharp man and fellow ex-nuke from the Navy. So far, the only fault I can find with you is you were a surface electrician and could never have supported my watchbill. The mid watch would have been truely interesting with you. Lucky Lefty- How you reached Sage with those ridiculous answers of yours amazes me! You show humor is important. Or at least impertinent... Chris- All those avatars...grrrrr :) YARNLADY- To my dying day, I'll always remember 'sitter-downer'! I'm laughing even now! Galeanda- You were, and are, a BIG help as a CL, especially on a personal level. Special thanks for you. Joel, Rich, and the rest of the AB staff- for all the effort that went into and still goes into AB to make it as good as it is CL's- for your role in keeping AB on the straight and narrow. ALL of us, not just the obvious ones. If your not listed above, it isn't because I've forgotten you or think any less of you. It's that there are SO MANY OF YOU! I'll get to you in your individual answers and comments, rest assured. After only a couple of months here I've learned that AB is NOT what I had expected it to be. Baggers are quick to police their own. Baggers are also quick to accept that and make the necessary amends. Baggers are forgiving of honest mistakes. And if nothing else, Baggers can more often than not at least agree to disagree. THIS is what makes AB so great a community to be involved in and I thank you all for it.
