  • You can get Oregon Lanlord Tenant Laws on the Internet to look this up. Usually you have to give 30 days notice BEFORE the next rent is due. So a "midmonth" notice doesn't count unless your rent started on the 11th, and is due on the 11th. It used to be that way. Nowadays when a tenant moves in during the month they pro-rate the rent to the end of the month. The next month the rent starts on the 1st. UNLESS, your landlord agrees to an early move-out, but that means a loss of part of the month's rent for them. If they agree to it you should get it in writing.
