Canada still hasn`t won a medal at the 2008 Olympic Games. What are they waiting for?

be happy Galooly, at least you don't have your avatar as a president -_-'' - he didn't want our country to join the Olympic Games because of the situation of Tibet - he now says he won't receive the Dalaï Lama who will spend 12 days in France during August - he asked the mayor of Nantes (where the Dalaï Lama is supposed to spend 6 days) to retire the Tibet Flag, the mayor refused... Shame on us... What is the most important? a medal? or mental health?

You're talking about a country that has a combined zero gold medals in the two Olympics it has hosted. Canada needs a glorious humiliation to get the government to finally throw some money around. I'd expect the 2020 games to be a highpoint, so... eat right and wear your seatbelt.

Curling is not a summer sport.

Proper sponsorship and good trainers.Without backup these atheletes have to work a full time job to pay for their training and find time for practice.In other countries they have sponsors to fund them and they can work full time on their sport.In this way some have an unfair advantage then others so the truly talented loose because of lack of proper training.Also the population is small compared to countries like China.

A figure skater to cry like a little, spoiled baby, screaming "UNFAIR!!!" until they are given one.
