Depends on where I'm fishing and what I'm fishing for. Catfish: night crawlers or chicken liver/hearts. Bass: minnows Bluegill, sunfish, perch: nightwrawlers.

That would depend on what the target fish is. Yesterday I went out on a local farm pond armed with maggots (in all colours)sweetcorn,luncheon meat,halibut pellets,bread paste. Had a mixed bag,Perch,Carp (biggest 8lbs) Roach and Bream, the only bait they would look at was red maggots laid on a bed of hempseed. Next week the same fish could quite well be taking sweetcorn,they usually do.

Salmon eggs for fishing the Kenai River, but most generally Fish & Game only allows artificial lures...

Nothing fancy really, but it works on almost anything you want to catch and saves buying a lot of extra equipment.:)
