whenever I connect my portable device in windows xp it tells you that its recognised it as an external harddrive a bell type noise will sound and a box of options appears I always click on the take no action box otherwise it starts to resync my library wiping the harddrive in the process.by clicking take no action you can then open the drive and see what is stored and add to it.
