Do you mean the white, sleeveless undershirts? (I've heard them referred to that way.) If so, the right man ~ yes, the wrong man ~ no. I remember a young James Caan wearing one in The Godfather, and he looked totally sexy in it.

If a sleeveless undershirt is worn under a dress shirt, there is nothing sexier on a man! If it is being worn by itself, it definitely depends on the man. Warren Beatty in Bonnie & Clyde is a perfect example of wearing one well.
