Yep. And those who committed the crime spent some time in jail.

No and I'm extremely thankful for that. I hope and pray that never happens as I live alone and it would be terrifying.

well, if stolen includes vandalized. When I lived in HOuston, I was babysitting and when I came home to my apartment, my door was ajar! I had to ask a guy, that I saw at the pool to come in with me, it was late at night, and I was too scared to go in by myself. The first thing I noticed was my TV missing. I don't remember what else was missing, but my drawers had all been emptied and the contents thrown all over the bedroom! We later noticed where they broke the glass in the window to get in. This wasn't the only time I've had something like this happen, in Houston! That's why I don't live there any more!

No but in June 1995 thieves broke into my parent's car when it was in a parking garage. They didn't destroy much or got much money, since we didn't left much money in the car. I have heard that parking garages are a place that thieves love.

"My property" being my vehicle, yes. There is a young boy who lives down the street who is autistic and he "drew" on my car with a rock. I was pretty pissed but was able to have the damage buffed out. I did not confront the parents although I do not allow my daughter into their home because the boys are often unsupervised and their home is a disaster. If they show such little care for their own children I sure as h*ll am not going to expect them to care for my daughter. It's a wonder their children are even alive as I see them being allowed to play in the street a lot...riding their Big Wheel and such. In my opinion, that is what the (fairly wide) sidewalks and driveways are for.

At school the contents of my school bag was regularly emptied out and scribbled on or trampled into the mud. I'm not sure if this counts.
