  • Built a 75 Dodge Dart for my son with a 360 engine. Two common problems on this motor. Worn distributor, Set timing at prescribed rpm, and as soon as accelerated, it was all over the place. Worn or loose timing chain will also cause the problem you are having. Sounds like you have covered the rest of the basics.
  • a banana in your tail pipe? try checking it.32yr old car, sticky valves, try turning distributor counter clockwise a few degrees see what happens or clockwise.
  • probably a bent pushrod or bent valve or cracked ring check compression on each cylinder you will probably find one that is low
  • sounds like your valves are off. a compression check on each cylinder will tell you for sure.
