The Olympics are for worldwide sports Baseball and Softball are basically played in the USA it would be silly to have them in the Olympics.

Softball and baseball are well known sport. Many games are sold out. Softball was one of the main sports being watched in the 2004 Olympics. I think they should eliminate handball and keep softball.

i am totally outraged by the elimination of softball in the 2012 games. as a softball athlete i have set the bar for myself to go to the olympics in upcoming years. years of hard work and dedication to get some place only to have other people who have no real compassion for this spectacular game to take it out. little girls go to bed dreaming about playing in the olympics one day, it has been that way for me for many years. online news states that the reason for the elimination was due to the fact that many countries dont know about the sport. there are over 8 million players in the world though, doesnt that account for something?? the US dominates in just about every games, but that is only due to our intense dedication to be the best and to play to our best abilities. now the world is punishing the US because we pose an undenyable force in one sport. and yet they still keep badmiton and handball in the olympics.

i think that softball and baseball should be included in the 2012 Olympics because it is and internation sport that everyone loves...most games are sold out... as said little boys and girls that have a dream to play at the highest level the Olympics for baseball and softball.. their dreams are slowly being taken away because the US has dedication to be the best... and they say there is not enough competition...but the competition from the US might make the other teams determined to beat them and become better so there is more competion in the Olympics for baseball and softball.

I think baseball and softball should be eliminated. Frankly, I think the olympics should be limited to olympic sports (shock! horror!).
