I'm worried that TV can influence people. I watched the Titanic yesterday, and after it, I put ice cubes in my bath and sank my rubber duck. What do you think?

I think maybe you're totally on to something! I just watched "The Greatest American Hero" starring the fabulously blonde and curly-haired William Katt. Not only can I fly now (after my requisite 1-2-3 step), but I can see things in my mind when I touch them! I don't even need a supper suit! I just wear it for looks. I've just got to ask you, though, how did you overcome the rubber duckie's natural buoyancy?

I think that this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that television is a form of mind control in the face of which we pitiful human humans have no resistance.

After having watched the episode of Myth Busters in which the team totally takes out the myth of mind control, I would say no. But then, reading your answer makes me change my mind. The government WILL gain control of our precious brain waves via the Boob Tube! And the results will be far more disastrous than a few rubber duckie casualties! This is only the beginning! ;-)

You recall this japanese manga called Dragon Ball ? I know it was just a kid but still. This 1 kid jumped of the building calling for the magic yellow cloud that didn't show up... not sure how he ended up though... And also WWE, the whole wrestling fever. Some people actually simulate all those crazy moves and get really hurt ...

Hey you know what? I do think it can affect us a bit. I watched Cheaters and some other show about a cheating husband and that night I had dreams that my husband was cheating. LOL I was mad at him when I woke up and realized what I had watched the night before influenced my dreams.

Well that is funny. I believe TV is one of the most influential creations in our modern day society. They teach us how to think, how to feel, what is correct and what is not. Without TV, what would support our current belief system as well? Nothing
