I keep accidently adding an "answer" rather than a comment. Is there any way to delete an unintended answer? If not, there should be.

Oh I know the feeling - you can always edit the answer :)

You can have somebody flag it as "nonsense" to get rid of it if you provide them a link and edit the answer to say "please delete--meant to be a comment" or something like that. That would be nice to have, but we've had some melodramatic types leave AB in a huff and try to delete all their answers. I'm sure that is why such a feature is not in place.

Edit the answer to ask someone to flag it.

Yes, there's a way to remove that. Edit your "answer" and say "Meant to be a comment. Please flag as nonsense." We will be more than happy to help you :)

There is a way to get them deleted but you yourself can't do it. You just edit your answer to say "Please flag as nonsense, meant to be a comment" And someone else will do that for you. It's too dangerous to give people the ability to delete things as they wold sometimes do it vindictively. So we just learn to be careful and do it right the next time, just like anything in life.

Type on it in Caps. Duplicate answer Please delete. That way the Moderators will accept it as a Nonsense Flag You cannot delete your own Questions or Answers.

Have someone or a friend flag it has nonsense or put a smiley face like I do to cover it up.
