All of the above, and the only thing they did was make me miserable.

I have my own regime of eating healthy. I find that starting the day with a large glass of either Orange or Grapefruit Juice (real fruit is better though if you have the time) and a banana, then going until mid morning and having something like Oatmeal with Apple Sauce (reduces cholesterol and the apple sauce is also fiber and vitamins without having to add sugar). I have the juice and banana at home, prepare the oatmeal at work, then mid afternoon maybe a fat free yoghurt. Add cereal or another banana etc if you need to eat more to fend off the hunger. In the evening, salads, plenty of vegetables, steer clear of heavy high fat foods if you can, but eat what you need to eat to ward off the cravings. I find it does me no good eating what a diet plan tells me to eat. Lets face it, if it doesn't hit the spot, all you are going to do is eat until you find something that does, invariably resulting in failure. Just try and eat sensibly, preferably no large meals close to bed time, and regular small meals throughout the day. Oatmeal and bananas are 2 good foods that fill you up and help keep the hunger pangs away. Finally, if you can, avoid buying things that you should not eat. Hard to do with a family around, but if like you can't live with a packet of cookies or cakes or candies in the house because they keep calling to you, and once you start you have to finish off the lot, I try not to buy them in the first place, then I can't eat them. I buy Pretzels, because they satisfy my cravings for chips at times when I absolutely have to snack, but I can only eat so many at a time. If I bought chips, I would probably end up eating the whole bag.

Well I can tell you I have tried all of them! Even Jenny Craig and Medifast. But truthfully, you are the only one to know if it will work for you. All diets work up to a point. If you are willing to LIVE those diets the rest of your life, then they will keep on working. It is when you go back to your "old" habits of eating that the Diets fail. In reality the diets are not the issue it is habits that are learned over a lifetime that cause us to be the people we are. The best one I have tried and can live with to keep the weight off or down, was Medifast.
