No tis not. They could very well be subterranean. Appearing on the surface for short periods of time.

I think a lot of sky-is-falling scientist have egg on their face over that. If they can miss basically a major city of gorillas, it just goes to show that there are still vast areas of the world that really haven't been looked at all that closely. Or, that there are things they just don't tell us for their own reasons. So who knows what other surprises those unexplored areas could hold.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to think that there are many, many species of animals that scientist have yet to "discover". Big Foot is but one of those possible creatures. I know people who swear they saw one. I wouldn't be surprised at all if one day soon, we find out that there are large primates out there.

not improbable at all, but i also think many sightings are false.
