  • I'll tell you this much: High school is generally the wrong place to look for a lasting relationship. College can be even worse. If you're lucky, you'll find a high school sweetheart, but there's no real trick to finding or keeping a good guy. If you're meant to be together and you do well with each other, that's all you can hope for.
  • I know you don’t want to hear this, but I think the main problem is that you’re not old enough for a serious relationship. Sure, other cultures made it work, but that’s not who we are. I had several girlfriends before age 16, but none of the relationships wound up being particularly serious; as mature as we thought we were, we just weren’t at that point in our lives, yet. My advice: stop trying to find a serious relationship and just have fun. You’ll be a *lot* happier in the long run. Blessings!

  • Long lasting relationships and highschool don't go together very well. Sure, they do happen sometimes. I know a couple who have been dating for a few years. I guess if you really are going to try, here is my advice, do not rush into it. If you want a long lasting relationship you have to find the right person. This has to be someone you are very comfortable with and who is very comfortable with you. I've been dating someone for 6 months, which I don't consider long, and we are basically best friends which makes things great. Look into who you are going to date. A guy who dates a lot of people obviously isn't going to work out for you. Focus on school though, not dating. Have fun in highschool, it isn't anywhere near as hard as it sounds.
  • Have fun, be safe, don't lie to anyone about your intentions, and don't worry about "a lasting relationship". They just happen.
