Sorry, I cannot advise someone to do something dangerous. DOctors advise losing at most 2-3 pounds per week. So you're looking at 13-25 weeks. I don't know why you expect to lose the weight any faster - did you gain it that quickly? Of course not. It works in the same speed, or slower, in the other direction. Speak with your doctor about a SENSIBLE diet and exercise program. "Crash" diets usually don't work, and you gain the weight right back. Sensible diet/erecise programs DO work. Best of luck!

you do like you're talking and you could put yourself into a hospital. are you saying you don't care about the danger because you don't think anything can happen? the way you are talking, the kinds of things you want to do, you are talking about all kinds of complications or eating disorders. besides, most of the people who "dump" weight gain it all back. if you don't lose the weight a healthy way, you will never learn how to keep it off. that being said, you can safely lose 2 pounds a week maximum. that's about six months. you could push it more, and some people do, but 2 pounds a week is safe and you are more likely to keep it off. as far as losing weight quickly: i don't know how old you are, so as far as eating you should consult a nutritionist. however, if you are an adult, stick to 1500 calories a day. keep a food journal - this really really works. the best exercise you can do is walking - a brisk pace, but not so much you are breathing hard. building muscle will also help you burn fat. frankly, there is no way to lose that much weight quickly without surgery, drugs, or starvation. i guarantee if you starve yourself you will gain it all back, not to mention losing all ability to function at that time. whatever reason you have for losing weight, it can't be so dire that you would risk your short term and long term health. i don't mean to lecture about this, but this is all tried and true from the millions of people who have tried and failed or succeeded at losing weight.

If you think you are strong enough to KEEP 50lbs off, losing it initially should be no problem for you. I have lost 70+ lbs 3 times in my life. BELIEVE me: losing it is the easy part. The best way to do it is to do it slowly and as healthy as possible. This will set you up with good habits that will enable you to keep it off for good.

I totally agree with everything written by other users above and no need to mention everything again and again. But I can add something maybe you have or havent heard about before. Fruitarian diet, which is not a fad diet but a nutrition style. You can follow it until you achieve your goal and then slowly and very very carefully turn back to a healthy normal diet. Fruitarian Diet is based on eating only organic fresh, dried fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds (not roasted and salty ones). Some may add whole grains and pasta (brown rice, rye, barley..) to their diet.
