A friend of mine had cats who dug up the back garden in one particular spot so she bought one of those novelty dog garden toys which has a sensor and barks when you walk past. This seemed to work for her.
I have heard that sprinkling moth balls amongst your flowers will stop cats from using the area as a litter box. The reasoning is that cats dislike the smell of moth balls, so will avoid them. I'm not positive that this will really work, but it is a cheap and easy way to try.

My 1 yr. puppy lifts his leg on everything in the back yard. How can I get him to stop ? He's not nutered,does this make a diffference ?
