Well, if they "object to homosexual behavior," then they shouldn't participate in it. Otherwise it should have absolutely no impact on their lives. Kudos to them for respecting the need for equal rights for all. FYI I don't participate in heterosexual behavior, but I certainly don't begrudge others the right to perform it.

I'm not sure your question makes sense. EVERYONE deserves respect, regardless of their proclivities. And I reject the concept of 'homophobic'. That's an equally disrespectful term. Homosexual behavior is sinful. But once this has been made clear to the person, a true Christian can go no further. Judgment is God's department, not ours. We ALL sin one way or another. It's rather hypocritical to claim anyone else is worse than first person singular.

All human beings should be treated with respect regardless of their sexual orientation.

this homosexual is 45 with a daughter and just broke up with a partner of 5 years. it's all in how you word your question. the phrase 'homosexual behavior' implies that every gay person engages in the behavior you object to.

object to individual behavior.

Perhaps the reason is that our sexuality is so much a part of us, if you object to our sexuality you are actually objecting to *us*. As a heterosexual, if someone told me that I was ok, but they objected to that horrible disgusting thing I liked doing with women, I would recognise their hypocrisy.

Because people shouldn't need to be "given credit" for treating someone with respect. That should just be a given.
