So far on AB I encountered ONLY one Q I took offense to. That Q had nothing to do with what I thought of the asker. It was the statements/claims preceding that Q I was offended by. AND I let that person have it! In fact, we had a little "spirited debate" about the statements/claims preceding the Q. AND it proved I was right. There were A LOT of others who sided with me. The last time I checked, that Q had -22 points. for a rating. Whatever the Q, it falls into a many classes: 1A. The fact Qs are posted at such a rapid rate, I totally miss them. 1B. I simply don't know anything about that particular subject. 2. I know something about the Q, but not enough to provide the best information for that Q. 3. Based on the knowledge I have, I can apply that knowledge to that particular Q. When this happens I always disclose that. 4. The Q was already answered with just about the same language I would use in my answer. I simply skip it. 5. I KNOW about that particular subject. I provide the best information I possibly can. 6. I KNOW the answer to that Q, but someone else answered it. I agree. Using the "Comment" feature, I confirm the answer. When I disagree, I post the reasons why I disagree. 7A. The Asker simply doesn't know what he or she is asking about or how to ask the Q. 7B. There isn't any Q. The person LOADS the space with information which doesn't permit space for the Q. 8. The Q requires A LOT of different issues which have to be explained before the actual Q is answered. 9. Those Qs I simply choose not to answer or comment about. 10. An out and out offensive Q, which requires my response. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Because you asked.
