Yes, many times when I was in my late teens and early twenties. Many places lots of different countries.

Yes, I hitchhiked a lot when I was a teenager. And when I was about 20, I spent a month in the South of England with a guy from the same university, and we used to hitchhike between the different places we visited. It was really nice :-)

I hitchhiked once. It was my mom and I, we had run out of gas and the closest station was about 10 miles away.

i hitch hiked in the sixties. i hitched across the usa from seattle tacoma to saint louis, mo in my usnavy uniform. i got out of the navy and found a private plane going to nevada that took me along. then in nevada, an eighteen wheel trucker gave me a ride to kansas. and then just minutes later i got a ride with a guy on a motorcycle, who took me right to my destination. . i hitched from the airport in central michigan to my home in northern michigan in my usnavy uniform. it was winter and i had on my wooly blues, and my peacoat and stocking cap. i got a ride after i counted a hundred cars that wouldnt stop. the snow was blowing, it was night, dark, and cold. a us marine picked me up with his family. they took me to my door.
