Where are you getting your statistics? Is this just an anecdotal observation or do you have statistics to indicate that there are more racially mixed homosexual couples than racially mixed heterosexual couples? It stands to reason that by the sheer number of heterosexual individuals on the planet the volume of interracial couples among heterosexuals would be significantly larger – no matter what you see when you look out the front window of your house in your neighborhood.

I was about to say the same thing where are your stats... Some areas might not be very multicultural and so lack mixing, I know in london there are tons of people mixing it up...as so in many other cities in the world.

Because gays are awsome and know the possibilities of having open mind.

Perhaps having received the societal prejudice and bigotry that goes along with being LGBT, they see the prejudice and bigotry that goes with dating a person of another race no huge additional hurdle. Ah, if only society kept their hatreds to themselves, and didn't teach such things to their children . . . .

while I disagree with your observation. that could be because I am western US and racism is all but nonexistant. I do however have one theory which could explain your observation. culture... people generaly date within their own culture. there are demographic tendancies within different cultures, like rednecks are more often white. there are less gay individuals forcing more mixing between cultures opening up more mixed race opportunity. just a theory.

Honestly, I've never seen that before. But I have noticed that gays tend to be more accepting.

Because homosexuals overall have a harder time growing up. this means they are forced to look at the world and the people around them differently. it's also easier to look past cultural differences when you both have something major in common.
