Why not allow Iran nuclear? Most countries have it, some already used it? Why would Iran not be able to possess it to defend itself? And why not trust them when they say it is meant to energy use? Has Iran threatened the world as much as the US & Russia?

Only a few countries have it, not "most". They have not shown themselves to be a trustworthy member of the international community. They support terrorism, and their president has vowed to destroy Israel. They sit on the Persian Gulf, and could have a devastating effect on the world economy by closing it. The US & Russia have never threatened the world that I've heard of. If you mean "had they had a nuclear war, that would have been a threat to human survival", yes, that was a bad situation too, but we're trying to keep the genie in the bottle with Iran now.
