Any advice for someone who has the education to get into a field but haven't been accepted into a job anywhere? My brother is new into the computer networking field and just can't get his foot in the door...

Right now is a tough time to be looking for a job. A lot of companies are on hiring freezes or making cut backs. One good way to get his name out there is to approach companies for a mentor vs. a job. Find someone who already works there in the position he is looking for and ask them for advise and if they can mentor him, etc. That person may know others in the industry that are looking for new employees, or may be able to give him advise on what things to work on in order to be more marketable. To make these connections check out LinkedIn, Facebook and other professional networking sites. You can find groups of employees at a specific company or in a specific field. Most people find jobs through a referral, so the more people he knows in the industry the better. Hope this helps.
