Took piano and accordian as a kid. During my first marriage, about age 28 I bought a cheap guitar and taught myself to play it (I had actually learned some music). I then bought a used 'Kay' (brand name) which I still have. I learned to play that pretty good and sing passible. I have since gotten rheumatoid arthritis and that stopped guitar about 18 years ago.

When I was a child I took piano lessons for about 4-5 years, and I played the clarinet in the band for 2 years until I broke my tooth playing football with my cousins one Christmas. I don't play the clarinet anymore and only tinker on the piano from time to time.

I never had the opportunity to play a musical instrument when I was a child.

I took piano lessons for about a month just so I could read the music as well as play it(weird little thing I can do without ever being taught) and I took drum lessons for about 4 months or alittle longer. I can and do play both now :)

I took piano lessons for several years. My piano is in storage and has been for a couple of years and I do miss not having it. I am temporarily staying at my parents and have sat at their piano a few times and find that the memory and fingers still work fine :) We have a very musical family on my mothers side. Piano, clarinet, trumpet, drums, guitar, saxaphone, cornet, french horn, violin, flute (I think that's all)....And 'YES' when we have any kind of family gatherings, everybody brings their respective instruments (except for the piano and drums...they are a bit heavy and awkward to lug around) and we belt out a few turns:)

I took guitar and then piano lessons as a kid. I never really had any natural ability to play an instrument. That was really frustrating because I really wanted to play! I just never got the hang of it.

Well I'm exactly 25. I played the piano as a child and took lessons for probably about 2-3 years. Didn't get me far with the piano but I learned how to read music which is surprisingly helpful knowledge to have.
