.....Anyone who says "No" to this will earn themselves a quick fork in the eye.
-
Yes. It's highly impersonal and rather rude in my opinion. Why be in a relationship at all if you can't manage to talk to them in person? I think it's the cowards way out.
-
Yes. Its silly, imature, and inappropriet. Unless the other person is a violent person, there's no reason to break up via text message!
-
It hurts any way you break up weather its a text, phone call or face to face
-
yes its extremly immature and rude to the other person if my boyfriend dumped me by text i wouldnt text back bbut go find his ass and tell him whats what
-
Definitely. Here's a good example of why you should never do this, especially if you're dating a Val:
-
yes it's not a good way to end it like that, unless the history of ur relationship is through texting....
-
Practice? You mean you do this often? Pretty tacky !
-
omg, i h8 u l3ts br34k up, rofl. wtf?
-
definitely! breaking up in a text message shows that you are scared and not brave enough to be able to look that person in the eyes like you should. it shows that you are immature and not ready to be in a relationship anyways.
-
...absolutely!!!! It is so impersonal and a relationship implies "personal"...
-
I think it is definitely a bad practice. There is no assurance that any relationship once started would become sustainable to the end. Problems which may arise should be dealt with on a heart-to-heart talk basis and not by merely sending a text message. I know it is not going to be easy but I have to face them and hopefully resolve them in a matured way.
-
ummm yeah
-
I ended a relationship by text. I did all I could do to get him to meet me so we could talk - left messages for him to call me which he never did, he'd make promises that we would talk but that never happened, he kept brushing me off. So I ended it - by text!
-
I don't know let me send you a text and tell you it is over...
-
One of my ex's sent a text to my brother telling me its over and I was pissed so I would have to go with a YES
-
Whatever works for you! Text message is no worse than e-mail, fax or phone
-
Only if I am also allowed to only text you when your mom dies, when your house has burnt down, and when I just crashed your car. 'BTW YR MOM DEAD.'
-
Oh,but of course...
-
i dont think that its "ok" but for the sake of you not wanting to be pulled back in to the relationship by hearing the persons' voice or seing their face, that might be the smart way to go at that moment. some ple often change their minds after seeing or hearing the person. but if you do breack up with the text (or email), make it a long one! lol
-
Not cool
-
Grow a pair and do it in person and yes it is a bad practice.
-
its cowardly, unless you are with someone who wont answer yur calls, then you dont have many options
