this is Promethazine.. generic for Phenergan.. an anti-emetic (for nausea)..

You need to take it to a pharmacist to identify it or, alternativly consult a Physician's Desk Reference. The former is better than that latter.

why do you need to know dispose of it asap it was not prescribed for your use

- I do not know what the situation is, but there are times when you might have good reason to want to know. What if you found the pill on the floor of your teenagers bedroom, would you not want to know what it was! What if a friend had been acting very strangely recently and you spotted the pill on their floor. There are many other good reasons, it does not have to be that the person fancies trying it!

- there is at least 40 ppl on here all of whom state they have found pills......... yes i agree totally but if a parent was that concerned would they not confront their child asap rather than seek advise on the net or call the pharmacist
