No, I tell people, "Not promising anything, but I'll do my best".
-
No I dont, I rarely make promises.
-
I always have the best intentions and make sure people understand I do not do empty promises .
-
Never.I don't give my word easily and once I give it I make sure I keep it.
-
Never in my lyfe...i never make promises if i can't make it or anything...its just my nature....
-
No, because I know what it's like to be let down by a broken promise.
-
No and i don't think it's a nice thing for anyone to do.
-
umm i dont think soo?
-
I used to, but I have learnt from that and tend to think it through carefully before promising anyone anything!
-
I try not to. Even if I would really like to and intend to, I always qualify it with, "Unless something prevents me". I have had things happen that kept me from doing something I had "promised to do". I felt bad, and so, I don't definitely promise anything anymore. Except to sig/other,...I promised to always love her....I have kept that one. It was easy.
-
I try not to..because it does not make me happy at all to disappoint people.
-
I try to fulfill all my promises but sometimes it's just not possible.
-
If I can't keep it, I don't promise it! I'd rather tell someone that I'll TRY to do something than promise it and not be able to come through! :)
-
No, if I promise, it's because I know I can keep it..You're only as good as your word:)
-
all of zee time =( not good i know, i only do if i kno i am going to get a bad reaction at the time, me no like conflict.
-
No never.

of late, yes, a lot, and I got here trying to google a solution out of it (!) In my case, it's a symptom of the bad depression I've hit in the last few weeks. Sense of self is eroding...I have begun to conceive of myself as a pair of disembodied eyes, and in this state it seems "natural" to just go with whatever people want, to be nice, to avoid conflict, to politely fill a gap in a conversation, to...whatever. But because I don't exert a presence I find it impossible to carry promises through. I try and fail, usually by way of panic attacks or sudden morbid lethargies where I literally grind to a halt, lose hours without realising it. Can't even feel bad, except in vague, muffled way. I've just broken another one in the last hour.
-
No. I will not promise anything unless I am 100% sure I can keep it.
-
Nope....I want my word to mean something!
-
no i never promise unless i can keep it.:)
-
I never promise a damn thing, whether I could keep it or not. I hate how the premise of a promise and its revolving unspoken moral value seems to mean more to people than the actual result and situation, or would be thereof, which calls the promise itself.
-
Like the saying "A promise is a comfort to a fool" I do believe that saying. I believe it when I see it. I normally tell people if they know deep down inside they won't beable to keep their promise don't promise me because its hurtful when promises are not delivered.

sometimes
