Since the person is a customer of the Company you work for you don't want to anger him. Tell him; you are flattered or that is so nice, but I can't accept your number. Period! You don't have to explain.

-
depends on if you already have the sale
-
Gently and firmly, looking that person right in the eye: "I'm sorry, I do not accept numbers from customers. I hope you understand."
-
This would never happen to me but if it did. I would take it and then discard it... why rain on their parade?
-
point to the nearest male work friend and say your seeing them !
-
Simple: you don't call. That's the great thing about giving someone your number: you let them make the choice later on, when they can think it over, and when they won't be pressurized into saying "yes" just because you're there waiting for an answer. Really, it's the most considerate option, under the circumstances. If they ask later on why you didn't call, or when they give you the number they ask when they can expect your call, or something like that, you can say "I'm sorry, you seem like a nice person, but I'm not interested in dating customers" or something like that.
-
I would simply tell him no but thank you though
-
i agree with most of them take it and discard it but take it as a compliment that someone would try but i wouldnt shoot everyone down becouse u might be loosing the right one unless u are taken
-
well i've got ask for my number many times and they asked for mine so i jst tell em sorry i have a boyfriend...or make up something else..
-
say, "i'm not interested"
-
Accept the number and you have to decide later on what to do with it.
